1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Carnec Sunroofs website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms, you may not access the website or use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers.
2. Services Description
Carnec Sunroofs provides sunroof repair, maintenance, and replacement services for vehicles. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Water leakage diagnosis and repair
- Stuck sunroof mechanism repair (manual, electric, panoramic)
- Sunroof glass replacement (all makes/models)
- Motor and electrical system repair
- Sunshade and curtain replacement
- Mobile service throughout Pretoria and surrounding areas
All services are performed by qualified technicians. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
3. Warranties and Guarantees
We offer a 1‑year guarantee on all repairs performed by us. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship and parts supplied by us. The guarantee does not cover:
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or negligence
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., gradual seal deterioration)
- Damage from unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Environmental damage (hail, falling objects, vandalism, etc.)
If you experience an issue covered by the guarantee within one year of the repair, we will fix it free of charge. You must contact us promptly and provide proof of the original repair (e.g., invoice).
4. Pricing and Payments
All prices quoted are estimates based on the information provided. The final price may vary if additional work is required after diagnosis. We will always obtain your approval before proceeding with any extra work.
Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 2 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made less than 2 hours in advance may incur a fee of R200 to cover travel costs.
6. Mobile Service Terms
We offer free mobile service within the Pretoria area (as listed on our Contact page). For locations outside this area, a travel fee may apply – we will inform you in advance. Our technicians will arrive at the agreed time; if we are delayed, we will contact you.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carnec Sunroofs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our services or website. Our total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8. Intellectual Property
The content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Carnec Sunroofs or its licensors and is protected by South African and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written consent.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our services after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
